Village Graphics evolved from a family business background.
With parents covering the artistic (teaching) & the technical (motor trade), I ended up combining both sides of the coin!
I graduated in 1981, H.Dip Print Production, Admin & Design. Winner: IOP (Institue of Printing) Bronze Medal 1982 - highest award open to students in the UK.
Work life took me into the world of Durable Graphics, completing product branding for global brands such as Ford Motor Co, Flymo & Xerox in the the form of decals & backlit panels.
I then moved into Photographic Retail, Equipment Repairs & as Freelance Photographers Assistant.
Village Graphics was set up in 1984, to offer Quality Design & Print services to Business.
In the early days, I landed a major exhibition for The Royal Scottish Geographic Society; ‘Glasgow a Century of Change’. Initially a ‘small project’, that eventually filled the Armoury, at Glasgow’s Kelvingrove!
Press & media exposure from that, led to an idea by a local Dentist & backers, with the design & development of the ‘Denplan’ brand, later successfully sold on to the Health Insurance Sector.
I’ve produced & marketed airbrushed Scottish Limited Edition Print’s, even given Mac Computer Tutorials on a regular basis, from the basics, to email, safe-surfing & DTP, to a young man with special needs.
One thing leads to another, and over the years, I’ve worked with Sole Traders, Charities, SME’s & Global Brands, Locally & Nationally, producing a huge variety of Print Collateral, Marketing Materials & Promotional Merchandise.
Always keeping to the core Personal Service, from Design, through Print to Delivery. . . now extending services, with this online print portal.
